So who says Friday the 13th has to be unlucky?

You may or may not be aware that this Friday, the 13th of February, is officially National Wear Red Day.

As part of our National Heart Month, Wear Red Day aims to raise vital funds for us to fight the UK’s biggest killer - heart and circulatory disease.

We'd like to invite you all to have your own Wear Red Day at work, school or with friends and family.

We’ll send you all the posters, stickers, a collection box and plenty of ideas that you'll need to have a great big Red day!

To get your free Fundraising Kit today, please go to bhf.org.uk/red

You can also download posters and be inspired by photos from other events.

National Wear Red Day is a great way to have fun and help save lives at the same time.

Gabby goes red for heart

Six Nations TV presenter Gabby Logan is backing our Red for Heart campaign.

Gabby gave London Welsh rugby players (Left to right) Tom Audley, Nick Runciman and Gavin O’Meara a lift in our Red for Heart taxi.

Gabby says: “February is National Heart Month and I will be wearing red in memory of my brother. People should join the Red for Heart campaign because the British Heart Foundation relies entirely on donations to continue their life-saving work.”

As you may or may not be aware, February is National Heart Month.

We're asking people to go Red for Heart this month, and the reasons why - and how you go about it - are pretty clearly spelled out in our special campaign video podcast, which you can watch below.

You can see what everyone else is up to either by checking out our Red for Heart page on Facebook or browsing our Red for Heart photo gallery on Flickr

Our Red for Heart website has more on how to order a fundraising pack, find and buy Red products online or in the High Street - or simply to make a donation to support our pioneering, life-saving research work.

My heart belongs to Corby

Our Love Notes prove ever popular as Health Minister Phil Hope stopped by a BHF shop to buy a Love Note and support National Heart Month.

The MP opted for a populist message, penning 'I love Corby' on a his heart shaped note.

For a £1 donation, you can write a message to friends, family, pets or anything your heart desires and display it in the window for all to see.

Our Love Notes scheme is one of many fundraising events happening across the UK during National Heart Month. Find out how you can support the BHF on our Red for Heart website.

And don't forget to tell us what you've been up to...

National Heart Month is here!

February is National Heart Month and your opportunity to save lives by raising money for our pioneering work.

We're asking our supporters to go Red for Heart ( a bit like York Minster pictured right). Anything goes - wear red, buy red, go red on facebook.

We've got loads of fundraising ideas on our website and you can order one of our red fundraising packs.

And when you've completed your red event make sure you send us your pictures to add to our Red for Heart gallery on Flickr.

Have fun!
