Take five minutes out with our online games

Online gaming is big news these days. But you don't need to feel guilty about wasting time in front of the computer.

Online games can be a fun way for both adults and kids to put their knowledge to good use and learn new information at the same time.

Our BHF online games cover food, lifestyle, nutrition and exercise.

Snack Attack and the Food4Thought Challenge will get you thinking about which foods are best for your heart.

If your footy skills aren't up to much on the pitch then you can sit back and watch the goals roll in with our Freekick Football game.

There are plenty of heart operation games if you've always fancied yourself as having a bit of medical flair.

And if you're trying to give up smoking then the Smoking Tetris game could be just the little bit of extra motivation you need.

There's always time, of course, for a quick game of Escape the Office before you actually do!

Footballers turn out to Help a Heart

BHF supporters in the West Midlands will once again get together this Saturday for the annual Help a Heart football match.

Players and officials from the West Midlands Christian Football League will turn out at Aldersley Stadium with all proceeds raised going to the charity.

Event organiser Thomas Baugh commented, “This is the third year we’ve played the match and it’s brilliant that everyone comes down to support the BHF.”

“It’s always a great match and this year we should raise more money than ever after getting major sponsorship from a sports injury website.”

Are you organising a fundraising event for us? If so post a comment on this blog or and we’ll try to promote it here!

BHF comp winner off to UEFA Cup showdown

Real Radio winner Evelyn Marshall is off to Manchester tonight to watch the UEFA Cup Final between Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg, courtesy of competition tickets donated to the station by a generous British Heart Foundation Scotland supporter.

Rangers will be hoping to begin a clean sweep of European titles for British football teams tonight, in the run up to the highly-anticipated Champions League Final between Manchester United and Chelsea in Moscow next week.

Thousands of Rangers fans entered the competition, raising over £12,000 for the BHF Scotland Forth Valley Equipment Appeal.

Around 11,000 people in the local area live with heart disease and the Appeal aims to raise £30,000 for a new 3D Stress Echocardiograph, to benefit heart patients of all ages.

Pictured is Evelyn, receiving her tickets from Real Radio’s Ewen Cameron and Alan Rough, with former Rangers star Mark Hateley.
