There's a lot of confusion around this topic. People often aren't sure what the alcohol guidelines are and ask if a small amount of alcohol can even be good for them?
If you enjoy the odd tippple, just remember to keep within the guidelines: that's 3-4 units a day for men and 1-2 units a day for women.
And if you go overboard, then think about your poor body and give it a break! Stay off the alcohol for at least 48 hours.
