Jenny asks I give giftaid on my stock donations - how do you track it?

Firstly thanks for your support every donation makes a real difference to our life-saving work. Your question raises a really important point.

At the moment we give every donor a unique ref number which we ask people to quote when they donate. This means every item that is giftaided has a little sticker which we attach. As you can imagine this is very time consuming. So we're working with the charity retail association to lobby the government to simplify this process to make it easier for you as a donor and less of a burden for us and the government - all making cost savings that we can put back into our work.
