Symptoms of a leaky heart valve can vary from person to person. Some people will have no symptoms at all, whilst other people may be quite limited in their activities because of their symptoms. Common symptoms include feeling short of breath, feeling tired and sometimes swollen feet or ankles. However just because someone experiences these symptoms it does not necessarily mean that they have a leaky valve as these symptoms can be caused by many other things.
You will need to have more tests, such as an echo (an ultrasound of the heart) to see if you have a heart valve problem.
